About
Leslie Ybarra is a Special Education teacher at Gateway to Graduation Academy. She has taught Special Education at the Alternative School setting for 12 years. She assists her students in completing the courses needed for graduation by providing content-specialized support and a small, structured setting in addition to the general education classroom curriculum in order to meet each student’s individual needs.
Leslie Ybarra is a San Benito High School Alumni who earned her bachelor’s degree in English along with a teacher’s certification from the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB), now known as the University of Texas of the Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV).
