Communities in School
My name is Richard D. Solis and I am a Brownsville native. I attended BISD schools graduating from Hanna High School in 1987. I attended the University of Texas at Brownsville where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. I was employed with the Cameron County Juvenile Probation Department for 25 years as a Probation Supervisor and Retired in 2021. In August of 2021, I began working with the Communities in Schools (CIS) Program as a Site Coordinator at Gateway to Graduation Academy. The Mission of(CIS) is to provide students a positive role model, surround them with a community of support, empowering them to stay In school and achieve in life. I am excited to be part of this great Team!!!
